Volumetric reconstruction: matching and merging in dicom data
نویسندگان
چکیده
Similarly a simplistic reconstruction procedure can lead to inaccuracies in the relative alignment of the data from each DICOM image in the reconstructed volume, resulting in the dislocation of small structures. Conclusion: The reconstruction method described here generates matched and merged volumetric datasets well suited to the application of automatic image processing and analysis techniques.

Target setting in the process of merging and restructuring of decision-making units using multiple objective linear programming
This paper presents a novel approach to achieving the goals of data envelopment analysis in the process of reconstruction and integration of decision-making units by using multiple objective linear programming. In this regard, first, we review inverse data envelopment analysis models for data reconstruction and integration. We present a model with multi-objective linear programming structure in...
متن کاملComputational 3D Ultrasound Volumetric Rendering; an Object Oriented Open-Sources Approach
On account of the advanced technology in recent years, the increasing demand for an effective medical imaging system has addressed its significance in diagnosis especially in the development of threedimensional medical image reconstruction. Of the various software that have been investigated, none of them show efficiency in terms of cost and computational performance. Owing to this fact, a meth...
متن کاملPrior‐knowledge treatment planning for volumetric arc therapy using feature‐based database mining
Treatment planning for volumetric arc therapy (VMAT) is a lengthy process that requires many rounds of optimizations to obtain the best treatment settings and optimization constraints for a given patient's geometry. We propose a feature-selection search engine that explores previously treated cases of similar anatomy, returning the optimal plan configurations and attainable DVH constraints. Usi...
متن کاملOpen Source Applications for Image Visualization and Processing in Neuroimaging Training
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the major role and potential of three of the most powerful open source computerized tools for the advanced processing of medical images, in the study of neuroanatomy. DICOM images were acquired with radiodiagnostic equipment using 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance (MR) images. Images were further processed using the following applications: first, OsiriXTM vers...
متن کاملSystematic Parameterization, Storage, and Representation of Volumetric DICOM Data
Tomographic medical imaging systems produce hundreds to thousands of slices, enabling three-dimensional (3D) analysis. Radiologists process these images through various tools and techniques in order to generate 3D renderings for various applications, such as surgical planning, medical education, and volumetric measurements. To save and store these visualizations, current systems use snapshots o...
